Statement of Directors’ Responsibilities

The competences of the Board of Directors are to:

– Suggest and approve strategy for the development of proper sub-sectorsof agribusiness and annual programs of KASH.

– Decide and express in writing its standpoints toward policies by ensuringconsensus and unanimity of all members.

– Approve use of financial means of the association.
– Analyze budget report and the activity carried, by including use of incomeand other properties of the association.

– Appoint a commission in the case of association dissolution.
– Elect President and Executive Committee of the council. Members of theExecutive Committee, except for the President, may not be members ofthe council.

– In special and urgent cases Board of Directors decisions can be made by circulating material presented and taking the opinions of the members of
B.D. without convening a meeting.

– The President of the association chairs Board of Directors meetings. In these meetings, all members Executive Committee can participate without right of voting.
– President and the Secretary sign all decisions of Board of Directors.

Governance

KASH is a voluntary unification of 18 agribusiness associations and farmer's union, registered under Albanian Law on non-profit organizations. It does not
conduct economic or political activities. It aims to institutionalize cooperation
among agribusiness associations, equipping them with needed structures for a normal function in best members’ interests.
Each of these associations or unions demonstrates democracy via electoral
cycles at their annual general meetings. KASH selects its leaders at its own annual national election based on the votes of constituent association presidents.
